has announced their first waterproof, shockproof and freeze-proof digital
camera called CoolPix AW100 has up
to 33 feet under water, shockproof up to 5 feet drop, freeze-proof as low as
-10°C, BSI (backside illuminated) sensor for low lighting conditions, EXPEED C2
image processor increasing image processing and quality, 3fps continuous burst
shooting, HDMI output to connect camera with large external display and GPS navigation
with built-in map to view your path and electronic compass.
The
Nikon AW100 has features such as Action
Control easily adjusting setting and special in-camera effects when wearing
gloves, VR image stabilization automatically reduce streaky images with shaky
cameras, Motion detector automatically track moving subject and adjust camera
settings, Easy Auto Mode automatically determine best camera setting with 20
Scene Modes and In-Camera image editing.

Nikon CoolPix AW100 has 16-mega
pixels CMOS sensor , 5x optical zoom with 28-140mm lens, 3-inch LCD with Anti-reflection coating, Full
HD 1080p video recording with stereo sound, 83MB built-in storage with
expandable microSD/SDHC/SDXC card slot, 125-3200 ISO Sensitivity, Li-Ion
EN-EL112 battery takes 250 shots at single charge, dimension 110.1 x 64.9 x
22.8 mm and weight 178 grams.
